Legendary Guitarist Buddy Guy to Perform April 7 in CFA

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Buddy Guy, a chief guitar influence to rock titans like Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, will perform at 8 p.m. on April 7 in the Center for the Arts on the University at Buffalo North Campus.

A pioneer of Chicago's fabled West Side sound and a living link to that city's halcyon days of electric blues, Guy has received five Grammy Awards, 23 W.C. Handy Blues Awards (the most any artist has received), the Billboard Magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement and the Presidential National Medal of Arts.

He will perform with special guest Tom Hambridge.

Tickets are $43.50 and $39.50, and go on sale Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available in the Center for the Arts Box Office from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, Ticketmaster outlets and ticketmaster.com. Tickets also may be charged by phone by calling 1-800-745-3000.
