Dancers from New York City Ballet, Boston Ballet and Buffalo's Configuration Dance to perform in Daniel Ulbricht Presents: A Dance Spectacular

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Daniel Ulbricht Presents: A Dance Spectacular will be performed at 3 p.m. on Sept. 20 in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts on the University at Buffalo North (Amherst) Campus. The performance will star Daniel Ulbricht and dancers from New York City Ballet and Boston Ballet, and will feature Buffalo's own Configuration Dance Theatre.

Daniel Ulbricht, a native of St. Petersburg, Fla., is currently a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet. He joined the company in 2001, was promoted to soloist in 2005 and to the rank of principal in 2007. He has danced featured roles in a number of Balanchine, Robbins and Martins programs, as well as other works. Ulbricht has performed at numerous festivals and galas worldwide. He is a guest teacher at the School of American Ballet, Boston Ballet, The Rock School and Joffrey Ballet School, and has also taught at Indiana University and Grand Valley State University, as well as started his own touring group called "Daniel Ulbricht and Friends."

A Dance Spectacular is a never-before-seen program featuring principals and soloists from New York City Ballet and Boston Ballet performing works by renowned choreographer George Balanchine. The works presented are masterpieces and are danced by some of the country's most talented dancers.

The program also features Buffalo's own acclaimed Configuration Dance Theatre. This local company is known for its cutting edge contemporary choreography and dancers.
