More than 500 representatives of local and regional companies and organizations will have the opportunity to learn about the many diverse university-industry partnerships that are revitalizing Buffalo Niagara at UB Business Partners Day 2009 to be held beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, June 4, 2009) in the Adam's Mark Hotel in Buffalo.

Twenty-six workshop sessions, to be held 9-9:50 a.m., 10-10:50 a.m. and 11-11:50 a.m. will feature local and regional businesses discussing how working with UB has helped their business or organization succeed. Topics range from how to get federal funding for research and improving product quality to workforce development and boosting employee morale in a downturn. A complete list of workshops is at http://www.buffalo.edu/business_partners_day/workshops.html.

Among the 25-plus exhibits will be representatives and displays from 20 local companies, all successful -- and optimistic! -- graduates of the UB Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) in the School of Management. "It's a great time for entrepreneurs to pick up market share," says Tom Ulbrich, CEL executive director, of the current economic climate. Meet Tom and his successful grads at Business Partners Day 2009.
