UB School of Management Honors Seven Intern Supervisors

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The LEAP (Learning Experientially in an Academic Practicum) Program in the University at Buffalo School of Management recently honored seven professionals for their contribution to the professional development of UB student interns who worked for them.

A reception was held for the honorees on April 21 in the Jacobs Executive Development Center, 672 Delaware Ave. School of Management Dean John M. Thomas presented an award for each business area represented.

The recipients were: Buzz Peters, Unifrax Corp. (accounting); Ed Bratko, UPS (finance); Joel Yacono, Delphi Thermal and Interior (general management); Patricia Brammer, Erie County Sheriff's Office (human resources); Lisa Turner, Merchants Insurance Group (internal audit); Rob Prazmark, IMG (marketing); Don Hewitt, Terrorism Research Center (marketing), and Steve Arnold, M&T Bank Corp. (Management Science and Systems).

Interns nominated the supervisors of choice. Finalists were chosen by Professor H.R. Rao, LEAP faculty director, and Melissa Ruggiero, associate director.
