BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for Teaching and Learning Resources will present workshops in August for new faculty members and teaching assistants.

The "Teaching Workshop for New Faculty" will be held from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 21 in the Center for Tomorrow, North Campus.

The workshop, which is free of charge, will feature presentations by distinguished UB teaching faculty and administrators.

"Target Your Teaching: Fall Conference for Teaching Assistants will be held Aug. 18-21 in 120 Clemens Hall, North Campus

The TA conference is open to all UB graduate students who currently are teaching or are interested in teaching. Individual workshops will focus on lecture organization and presentation techniques, small group techniques for seminars and recitations, feedback to and from students and faculty, student and course evaluation, and classroom challenges.

There is a $20 fee for the TA conference. No walk-ins will be accepted due to pre-planned group activities.
