UB Business Alliance Appoints Business Advocate

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The University at Buffalo Business Alliance has appointed Lorraine O. Wappman as its business advocate.

Wappman most recently worked as a market research analyst for the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle and previously as marketing coordinator for Dawning Technologies in Fairport. She served from 1998-99 as marketing assistant for the UB Business Alliance while pursuing her MBA degree at UB.

As business advocate for the UB Business Alliance, Wappman will manage and coordinate marketing communication projects and oversee publication of the print and online versions of the Alliance Resources directory of UB programs, resources, facilities and technologies available for licensing that may be of interest to businesses. She also will organize training seminars and serve as the alliance's contact person for members of the business community seeking information about services offered by UB.

In addition to her MBA from UB, Wappman received a bachelor's degree in political science from St. John Fisher College.

She lives in Rochester.
