Hollen, Randell Take Positions with UB Business Alliance

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo Business Alliance has made two appointments within its Contracted Services Group.

David K. Hollen, formerly senior sales engineer for Sintec Keramik USA Inc., has been named director of business development. Nicholas Randell, previously sales and marketing manager for Acres International Corp., has been appointed operations manager.

In his new position, Hollen will be responsible for outreach activities for the Strategic Partnership for Industrial Resurgence (SPIR) program, as well as provide leadership for the business development team.

In addition to Sintec Keramik USA, Hollen has been a sales consultant and served as Northeast regional sales manager for Rex Roto Corp.

He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from West Virginia University and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia.

He lives in Amherst.

As operations manager -- a new position -- Randell will head the project management team and coordinate marketing activities for the alliance.

Prior to working at Acres, he served as senior marketing coordinator and technical writer for R&D Engineering.

Randell received a bachelor's degree in English from Oberlin College, a master's degree in English literature from the University of Virginia and an MBA from UB.

He resides on the West Side of Buffalo.

The UB Business Alliance fosters partnerships between UB and the business community and provides access to the university's resources to enhance and promote economic growth.
