UB to Hold Cardiovascular Diseases Symposium

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A Pharmacotherapy for Cardiovascular Diseases Symposium will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 19 and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 20 in the Sheraton Inn Buffalo Airport, 2040 Walden Ave., Buffalo.

Sponsored by the Department of Pharmacy Practice in the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and the UB School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, the symposium will provide an overview of important advances in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

The symposium, which is targeted to pharmacists and other interested health-care professionals, will offer continuing-education credits.

The program will feature presentations by faculty from UB, the VA Western New York Healthcare System, Rochester General Hospital, Health Care Plan and Millard Fillmore and Buffalo General hospitals.
