The coming of the millennium -- with all its associated myths, predictions and omens -- will be the subject of the first lecture of the Senior Alumni Luncheon program for the 1998-99 academic year to be offered by the University at Buffalo Office of Alumni Relations.

Phillips Stevens, Jr., Ph.D., UB associate professor of anthropology, will lead the discussion, beginning at noon on Sept. 18 in the Center for Tomorrow on the UB North (Amherst) Campus.

His presentation will include art and other materials that depict how ancient and modern-day people and religions have viewed the coming of the millennium.

The cost of the luncheon, designed for UB senior alumni, their spouses and guests, is $10 per person.
