Prevention magazine interviews UB expert on healthy alternatives to energy drinks

Kathleen Miller, senior research scientist in UB's Research Institute on Addictions, is quoted in an article in Prevention magazine about healthy alternatives to energy drinks. "It's worth keeping in mind that energy drinks also contain a variety of other substances, including sugar or sweeteners, amino acids, vitamins and an assortment of poorly researched herbal extracts," she said. "There's relatively little research about how these herbal extracts interact with each other or with caffeine."
