Money Raised Through Gala Event to Provide Funding for Student Scholarships at UB View Photo
11/17/09 The University at Buffalo raised $148,000 for student scholarships thanks to the more than 400 business executives, UB faculty and administrators and community leaders who attended the Scholarship Gala 2009.

UB Launches Arts, Entertainment and Media Symposium in New York City
11/10/09 The University at Buffalo will announce its next UBC2C (UB Coast to Coast) symposium on arts, entertainment and media tomorrow in the Friars Club in New York City. UB alumnus, Alan Zweibel, BA '72, multi-Emmy Award-winning writer/producer/playwright, who began his very successful career as part of the original "Saturday Night Live" writing team, will host the event.

09/11/09 The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences held a ceremonial groundbreaking today for the building it will call home in 2012, when pharmacy will become the first UB professional school in three decades to move onto the South (Main Street) Campus and back into the City of Buffalo.

UB Law Receives $1 Million Gift from Cellino & Barnes View Photo
06/04/09 The University at Buffalo Law School has received an unrestricted gift of $1 million from two well-known alumni, Ross M. Cellino Jr. and Stephen E. Barnes, shareholders in the Buffalo-based personal injury law firm Cellino & Barnes, P. C. It is one of the largest cash gifts UB Law has received in its 122-year history.

Grant from Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo Goes to UB Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic
02/24/09 The University at Buffalo College of Arts and Sciences Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences has received a $16,169 grant from the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo (CFGB) to support materials acquisition and personnel costs needed for the UB Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic to continue and expand its services with two Buffalo Head Start programs.
