Thomas Ramming is a clinical associate professor emeritus in the university's Graduate School of Education.

He has taught: Collective Bargaining and Contract Administration; Human Resources in Education; Leading an Effective School District; and Planning, Budgeting and Data Analysis.

Previously, he worked as school superintendent, assistant superintendent for human resources, and director of labor relations.

Working with colleagues at D’Youville College and SUNY New Paltz, Ramming published a book of case stories, “Theory into Practice; Case Stories of School Leaders” (Sense Publishers, 2012), based on the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium standards.
