Head shot of Praveen Arany.

Praveen Arany can speak to the media about the beneficial and harmful aspects of using lasers and light in medicine.

Lasers are revolutionizing health care, with new uses varying from hair regrowth to treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and quickly healing wounds.

As a dentist and dental researcher, Arany has found that low-powered lasers trigger stem cells in the mouths of rodents to regrow teeth.

His current work centers on transitioning this research from proven animal models to human clinical trials.
