Amit Goyal can speak to the news media about UB’s work involving energy, the environment and water.

Goyal is an internationally recognized expert in renewable energy materials; with particular interest in high-temperature superconducting materials that have applications in the generation, storage and transmission of electricity, and can be used in motors, magnets and other devices.

He is also an expert in photovoltaics (he founded a company related to next generation solar materials) and materials science. He can address general questions about new materials, especially as they relate to the controlled synthesis of advanced materials.

At UB, Goyal holds academic appointments in four departments: chemical and biological engineering; electrical engineering; physics; and materials, design and innovation.
