Student walking along the spine in 2016.

Providing an avenue for admission and support for eligible students who have not yet reached their academic potential due to educational or economic barriers.

Turning barriers into opportunities.

The Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is a multifaceted academic and student enrichment program for students who have demonstrated their potential to academically and personally succeed at UB, despite economic or social barriers.

Our goal has been, and will continue to be, to increase the number of students from first generation, historically underrepresented and low-income populations who enter graduate and professional programs. We strive to develop academic, scientific, business, political and community leaders from diverse backgrounds, and work to ensure the academic excellence and graduation of all EOP-eligible students. Our alumni have achieved leadership roles in their civic, community and professional lives.
