UB Learns, powered by Blackboard, is the centrally supported Learning Management System (LMS) at UB.
Instructors can use UB Learns to post syllabi, readings, tests and assignments as well as communicate via email and discussion boards.
Not all instructors use UB Learns. If you don't see a course listed in UB Learns, check with your instructors to make sure it is being used for your course.
UB Learns is accessible 24 hours per day, seven days a week with an internet connection and a web browser or one of Blackboard's mobile apps.
By default, Safari disables third-party cookies, which causes users to see a request to log in a second time to watch a Panopto video. The issue is resolved by using a different browser (Chrome, Firefox) or enabling third-party cookies in Safari.

The update includes improvements to existing tools, a new accessibility checker and the ability to display computer code. Some icons have changed, and the options to embed files, images, videos and mashups are now available by clicking on the plus icon (use the Insert Local Files option for images).
To improve performance, Blackboard has released an update where copying and pasting an image from a document (such as a Word document) to a UB Learns text field is no longer supported. You can add images by using the plus icon in the content editor toolbar.
To get the most out of the Blackboard mobile app, users should delete the app from their mobile devices and reinstall it.
Use our contact form to submit a help ticket (you may be asked for your UBITName and password). After the form is submitted, a member of the UB Learns support team will follow up with you within one business day.
