The SENS Linux "use" command sets your session's environment for using various software programs, and starts the software specified after the command.
If you type "use" by itself, you will see a list of software packages available to in the SENS Linux environment. At this point you can select the software you want to use.
If you already know what is available, type "use" plus the name of the software package you wish to use. This will change any environment settings, if necessary, then start the requested software.
Examples include:
$ use ansys
$ use cadence
$ use matlab
This automatically updates your account to accommodate any recent system-wide changes to the standard Linux login files, which are located in your shared Linux home directory. We recommend you run this command periodically in order to take advantage of any improvements or new capabilities.
