Whether you're on a university computer or a personal device, here are resources that can help you use SENS hardware and software.
SENS can provide guidance for purchases of computer equipment and related hardware by faculty, staff, and students, and can assist faculty and staff with such purchases. We work closely with vendors such as Dell and Apple to provide quality, standardized equipment at competitive prices.
SENS can help you find the best sources for purchasing software, including software packages provided by UBIT, node and departmental software availability, third-party resellers, and purchasing direct from the manufacturer.
SENS is responsible for the installation and configuration of new hardware. Please coordinate your purchase with our staff.
A variety of software packages are provided for installation via our self-service facilities. For software that is not available for self-service installation, such as software purchased directly by faculty or staff, SENS staff can perform the necessary installation and configuration steps.
SENS has published guides for using common operating systems. These focus on topics specific to working in the SENS environment.
SENS supports a wide variety of software packages. Please consult our software guides for information on how to use some of them.
