Best Wishes at the End of the Semester

Published December 16, 2021

Dear university community,

With our fall semester drawing to a close, I would like to wish all of you a wonderful holiday season. Whether you are a staff member planning to take days off from work, a faculty member pausing at semester’s end, or a student getting ready to unwind during winter break, savor this period of relaxation—you have earned it!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for helping ensure a successful return to campus this past fall. Your vigilance in the face of COVID-19 made UB’s fall semester both highly uneventful—I mean that in the best sense of the word!—and tremendously productive. In safeguarding your own health, you also showed your concern for the well-being of everyone within our scholarly community, and I am deeply appreciative. As we step away for the holidays, it is my hope that we continue to uphold this responsibility to ourselves and each other, thus protecting our friends, family and community members while doing our part to assure another smooth transition back to campus for the spring semester.

As always, please know how grateful I am for everything you do to make UB a vibrant, respectful and productive scholarly community. May the New Year bring you peace, hope, health and good cheer!

Sincerely,

Satish K. Tripathi
President
