Areas of Inquiry and Caucuses

Becoming a member of NeMLA means joining a community of scholars in language and literature who are engaged in conversations at the cutting edge of their fields. NeMLA offers two ways for members to communicate on issues of common concern:

  • Areas of Inquiry spur productive communication across traditional disciplines. Headed by a board member, each area reviews submissions and plans activities for conference sessions, and organizes events of mutual interest.
  • Caucuses provide an opportunity for participants to network and socialize.
