Rhetoric and Composition

NeMLA welcomes panel proposal submissions on all areas of writing research and instruction, especially (but not exclusively) writing at the college level.

Submissions to the Rhetoric & Composition area may investigate topics such as:

Teaching Writing and Rhetoric
Writing Program Administration (WPA)
Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) or Writing in the Disciplines (WID)
Second Language Writing
Academic Writing
Professional and Technical Writing
Information Technologies
History of Composition
Composition Theory
Writing Center Pedagogy
Service Learning or Community Literacy

Panel proposals submissions in this multi-disciplinary field may also draw on theories, research, and praxis from psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, cognitive psychology, language acquisition research, genre theory, rhetorical theory, and linguistic anthropology.
