Plain Language for Researchers

It is now more important than ever for researchers to be “bilingual” in plain language. It fosters trust with the community and presents research in a non-threatening way, while also helping to promote dialogue between scientists and strengthen collaboration. This UB CTSI Educational Modules video:

  • Offers a “usable” definition of plain language for researchers
  • Explores various readability Indexes
  • Provides writing tips for recruitment and presentation materials, including flyers, abstracts, and papers

* This material was originally developed as a CTSI Open Research Office presentation.
