Clinical research in 2025 increased from the previous year with over 16,000 participants in 242 studies.
- K Scholars
22 scholars from 6 UB schools & Roswell Park trained in clinical/translational science research since 2016, published 495 articles (76 first author; 130 senior author), & secured $34.1M in 110 extramural grants.
- Pilot Studies ROI
137 awards in 2015-26 to teams of 373 early career/established investigators from 9 UB schools & Roswell Park resulted in 140 peer-reviewed publications & $51.4 million in extra-mural funding largely from NIH.
- Research Services
Over 12,000 consultations 2015-25 (research facilitation; biostatistics, epidemiology & research design; imaging; IRB submissions; regulatory; community engagement, recruitment & special populations, informatics).
- Seminars/Workshops
Over 10,000 faculty, staff and students attended 57 series of 340 workshops in 2016-25 on clinical and translational science research core skills and competencies.
- Virtual Learning
A total of 53 Watch and Learn & Open Research Office instructional videos available since on the CTSI website & YouTube channel received over 6,000 views through 2025.
