Thanks to the generous support of our faculty, the School of Architecture and Planning is pleased to announce the formation of a new Student Emergency Fund for students of the School of Architecture and Planning.

Moved by the plight of our most vulnerable students faced with hardships related to the COVID-19 crisis, senior fellow and adjunct professor V. Jeffrey LiPuma, on behalf of our entire real estate development faculty, has made a $10,000 foundational gift. The Dean’s Office has committed an additional $10,000 to help ensure basic needs are met for students across the School of Architecture and Planning during this challenging time.

Any student enrolled full-time in the School of Architecture and Planning is eligible to apply for a one-time financial award to offset short-term financial needs related to the COVID-19 crisis. Unexpected expenditures that hinder students’ wellbeing or academic progress are allowable and may be tied to food, housing, technology, Internet, medicine, unexpected transportation, and other emergency expenses. Please visit our Student Emergency Fund webpage to learn more and apply for assistance.

We are committed to helping you have the support you need under these difficult circumstances. We are grateful for the generosity of our donors and Professor LiPuma’s leadership gift to the Emergency Fund, which will serve as inspiration for additional support from our community.
