Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department Fund

UB Chemical and Biological Engineering professor Eli Ruckenstein.

Help engineers solve many of the technical, environmental and societal problems facing humanity by supporting this fund.

In the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (part of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences), we realize that mechanical and aerospace engineers have the opportunity to change the world.

Our mission includes preparing our students for careers or advanced study in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or other relevant fields; and impacting significant technical, societal, and environmental challenges through innovative research, transformative education and leadership.

At UB, we welcome students from New York State and around the world to work on innovative science, interdisciplinary technologies, and advanced systems design, and to receive first-rate training in fundamental and applied aspects of mechanical or aerospace engineering. Our award-winning faculty and exceptional students make our department an ideal setting to prepare students for successful careers.

Here, we strive to attract, support and retain the very best faculty we can, as we foster excellence in teaching and student experiences within and beyond our field, continuously improve infrastructure, and create best-in-practice operations to support faculty scholarship.
