Morton Feldman, the late pioneering composer and beloved UB professor whose influence continues to shape the global contemporary music scene, was given a 100th birthday party of sorts in January with a two-day festival consisting of talks, film screenings and, of course, numerous concerts. The celebration culminated in a performance of “Rothko Chapel,” Feldman’s iconic meditation on color, space and spirituality.
