Need a new computer? Discounts are available to students and other UB community members on laptops, desktops and more from Dell, Apple and Lenovo.
Apple offers discounts on all Mac models for students, including discounts on Macbooks and iMacs. There are also various discounts on professional software offered through Apple such as Final Cut Pro.
Through Dell, UB students can purchase some electronics at significant discounts—more than half off their retail value. As of July 2017, these discounts include the Latitude 7280 laptop, Optiplex 7450 All-in-one desktop and 7480 Ultrabook laptops.
Customers can also save on the Latitude 5480 and the XPS 15 laptop. The XPS 15 laptop offers 512 GB in hard drive space and comes equipped with a Intel Core Processor. Additionally, the Latitude 5480 is loaded with a 14-inch HD screen along with a 256 GB hard drive.
You can customize your purchase to include additional software—just remember UB students get Microsoft Office 2016 and more for free—as well as additional hard drive storage or damage service.
Lenovo also offer discounts on select Thinkpad models, as well as other devices on request. To get started, visit the Lenovo Personal Purchase Page for the University at Buffalo.
UB supports any computer that meets our standards. If you need help with your devices, visit www.buffalo.edu/ubit/help, call 716-645-3542, or visit the UBIT Help Center in Lockwood 2nd Floor Cybrary or Abbott Health Sciences Library. If you’re a UB student, you can also contact UB Tech Squad for an on-site visit anywhere on campus.
