Celebrate Sustainability Month

Published April 1, 2021

Dear University Community:

At UB, we have long been committed to environmental sustainability, and our goal is to achieve climate neutrality within the next decade. This past year has tested our ability to adapt, listen, and care about each other. We know that we are resilient, and can work together to become agents of change in our world. This makes us even more optimistic in our fight against climate change to ensure a bright and healthy future.

In an effort to recognize the significant, sustainability-focused work that is taking place across our university, we are celebrating Sustainability Month a little differently this year.

Like countries across the globe, our campus has embraced the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the framework they provide for advancing solutions to our global challenges. Throughout April, UB will feature a different SDG each day with a collection of lectures, webinars, curricula, workshops and other resources related to each goal for our entire campus community. UB Sustainability’s social media channels will highlight new materials from across our university and demonstrate how you can make a difference at home and here at UB.

The Sustainability Month website will provide links for events throughout April. Among the many events we are offering:

Visit the Sustainability Month website for more information, and follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to stay up to date with the SDGs and events throughout the month.

Sincerely,
