Transfer Students

The English Department welcomes transfer students from other Colleges and Universities.

Upon entering the major, students should meet with the Director of Undergraduate Studies, to determine which courses can be accepted for credit in the major and to map out future coursework plans. Transfer students entering the major may have up to six courses accepted, three at the 200-level and three at the 300 or 400 level (at the discretion of the Director of Undergraduate Studies).

With our flexible requirements, transfer students can make timely progress through the major and take advantage of such opportunities as departmental Honors, internships, and study abroad. Meeting as early as possible with an adviser will ensure that you can make maximal use of your time in the department.
