Dear Student Life Colleagues,

With a highly successful orientation season now complete, our collective focus turns to the excitement and anticipation of the upcoming fall semester.

As we continue to finalize our plans, I wanted to outline some of the campus-wide events happening at the end of this month during Opening and Welcome Weekend. All of our staff in Student Life is hard at work creating plans to formally welcome our students and UB family back to campus. Be sure to check out the Fall Opening 2024 website linked below for more details.

One large scale event that is being expanded this year is the 4th Annual Bulls Welcome Back Blast. With a renewed partnership with the Division of Athletics, we will be moving this signature event to UB Stadium and I encourage you and your family to come out and enjoy a tremendous night celebrating the start of the semester on Sunday night, August 25.

It takes a significant amount of work and staffing for Student Life to operationalize the various events we present during opening. As a result, I have linked information on how you can help volunteer during this busy time, helping us create memories that will positively impact the student experience.
