  • EOC rallies support for students needing high school equivalency

    Representatives from a variety of community-based organizations will explain New York State’s new high school equivalency test and how best to prepare students for it at a regional forum from 10-11:30 a.m. Sept. 9 at UB’s Educational Opportunity Center, 555 Ellicott St., Buffalo.
  • Manes to perform ‘old favorites’

    Pianist Stephen Manes has performed the entire set of 32 Beethoven piano sonatas at UB three times during a long and distinguished career as a faculty member and performer. He has returned to Slee Hall annually since his retirement from UB nearly a decade ago, performing a variety of intriguing programs to enthusiastic audiences.
