Converting non-productive time into customer-focused, productive time enables any organization to grow revenue faster than cost. This course prepares participants to implement tools of the waste-minimizing Lean problem-solving methodology, resulting in lower costs, increased customer satisfaction, better on-time performance, and higher quality. Candidates will learn how to craft a data-driven business case built on root cause analysis to support process improvement recommendations.

Topics include:

  • Five fundamentals of Lean culture, emphasizing employee engagement
  • Change management and Project leadership
  • Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping
  • Root Cause Analysis (5 Why)
  • Use and implementation of common Lean tools

The course features online lectures, conversations, and perspectives from industry professionals about Lean in addition to a physical coursebook for you to keep.  Thought-provoking questions at the end of each section allow you to reflect and assess your knowledge gained through the course.  In addition, there are one-on-one mentoring sessions to help guide in applying the Lean methodology and tools to a problem in your organization.

Certification requires passing a final exam and completing a successful Lean project at the candidate’s place of work. Successful projects require access to relevant resources and data.
