Curious about the latest in AI and how it’s being used at UB? Join UBIT for the UB AI Showcase on Wed, November 4, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Union Theater, 215 Social Hall and 210 Landmark Room.
The campus-wide event brings together UB students, faculty, and staff to explore AI through live demonstrations, talks, hands-on activities, and conversations. Whether you’re trying an AI tool for the first time or developing your own applications, you’ll find opportunities to learn and connect. No AI expertise is required.
Explore how people across UB are using AI in classrooms, research projects, and everyday work. A variety of sessions will be offered, giving attendees opportunities both quick introductions and more detailed exploration.
Research and classroom project showcases will highlight work across the university. Live demonstrations will feature AI tools, applications and services, and interactive experiences.
Put your skills to the test with “spot the AI-generated image” games, five-minute challenges with prizes and hands-on demonstrations. Prompt engineering activities will offer opportunities to practice crafting instructions for AI tools.
Resource tables hosted by UB offices and departments will connect you with AI-related tools, training and support. Meet colleagues exploring similar questions and discover resources you can use in your own learning, teaching or work.
The UB AI Showcase supports UB’s commitment to using AI responsibly and in ways that benefit people and communities. Alongside practical demonstrations, conversations will address AI’s opportunities and limitations, including how it is reshaping information security and cybersecurity.
The event will connect attendees with approved tools, practical training, and ongoing campus support. UBIT’s growing AI resources, including BullsAI and Microsoft Copilot, can help the UB community turn ideas into everyday practices.
Join UBIT on November 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Union to explore, ask questions and see what’s possible with AI at UB.
