In partnership with the Building and Environment Visualization Lab (BEVL) and the Design for Resilient Environments Lab, this two-year initiative engages municipalities to develop a tool kit of design strategies to mitigate extreme heat and enhance community resilience. Informed by ecological data collection, climate projections and local needs, the project enhances the capacity of local municipalities to apply data-driven, climate-adaptive design to improve wellbeing and equity across New York State. Sponsored by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
