The RBC and the UB HOME Initiative for Sustainable Living are working on interdisciplinary research-to-practice initiatives and experiential learning focused on advancing the affordability and resilience of living environments through alternative housing. This focus will advance the learning by developing opportunities for UB students and faculty across UB to interact with Greensphere in developing systems of affordable manufactured housing delivery. A planning grant from Greensphere enables the RBC to prepare the scope of work and to build research teams to integrate the work of siloed researchers and connect them to integrated system deliveries.

UB Advancement and the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development have provided funds to develop a case statement that will seek financial support for for making affordable housing a UB-wide enterprise.
