2012

A collaboration between Dr. Diana Aga and two teachers from Lewiston-Porter High School, Michelle Hinchliffe and Colleen Glor, won the SETAC Environmental Education Award for 2012. The award recognizes the work they have done in bringing high school students into the lab to measure the occurrence of PPCPs in their local surface water. UB Reporter Article

Lijuan Su was selected to participate in the 2011 American Chemical Society Summer School on Green Chemistry and Sustainable Energy (June 26 to July 3, 2011) at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, with travel support from ACS.

Susan Mackintosh Finalist in the 2011 nation-wide NSF IGERT poster competition in Washington, DC. Including a $3000 travel award for the poster, "Catch of the Day- Brominated Flame Retardants in the Food Web of Lake Erie".

Dr. Diana Aga was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to pursue collaborative research and teaching in Environmental Sciences at the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines from June-December 2011.
