When:  Saturday, April 6th, 2024 from 12pm-4pm

Where:  Alumni Arena Foyer

Who:  UB Students - 12 Teams of 2 Players

Cost:  FREE

Prize:  Winning Team receives the following,

  • (2) Cornhole Champion Medals
  • (2) $20 Gift Certificates to the Bulls Team Shop
  • Bragging Rights

  • Spots available on a first come, first serve basis
  • Must sign-up as a team
  • Registration closes on Friday, 4/5/24, or when all spots are filled, whichever comes first

Tournament Layout

24 students, compiling 12 teams will randomly be placed in the Tournament Bracket. Teams will be given direction as to which boards they will be playing on, as well as what time. Winners will advance in the tournament and the losing team will get bumped to the B Bracket. Each team is guaranteed at least two games.

Timeline:

  • 12 PM: Team check-ins begin, teams will be allowed to take a couple of practice throws prior to the tournament starting.
  • 12:30 PM: Matches begin.
  • 2:30 PM: Final matches wrap-up and winners will be crowned the first-ever Unplug and Play Corn Hole Champions.

Tournament Rules*

12 Team Style Tournament - Doubles Corn Hole Match Rules and Regulations

Two teams, consisting of two players, compete against one another until a winning team is determined.

  • Each team will stay in their designated lane for the whole game.
  • Players at the headboard will alternate pitching bags until each player has pitched all four of his/her bags.
  • Players at the footboard will take score and resume pitching back to the other board.
  • The top of an inning is completed when both players pitching from the headboard pitch all four bags; the bottom of the inning is completed when the remaining players pitching from the footboard pitch all four bags.
