Dr. Venu Govindaraju, UB's Vice President for Research and Economic Development, recently spoke to the Buffalo Niagara Partnership Board of Directors about the University at Buffalo's cutting-edge research harnessing AI for social good and delivering practical solutions to WNY and the world. A pioneer institution in artificial intelligence, UB has more than 200 faculty currently engaged in human-centered AI research from deepfake detectors to educational tools and energy-efficient microelectronics.
