BBC interviewed Joanne Song McLaughlin in an article that despite the growing popularity of AI, there are some jobs that computers still will not be able to take - for now. While humans are likely to remain in professions that fall within creating intricate interpersonal relationships and mobility, dexterity and problem solving jobs, that does not mean they are safe. McLaughlin believes that most jobs, regardless of industry, have aspects that are likely to be automated by the technology. “In many cases, there’s no immediate threat to jobs,” she says, “but tasks will change.”
