California's sustained COVID-19 surge packs hospitals

The Wall Street Journal spoke to Thomas Russo, as California’s surge of coronavirus cases continued to overwhelm the state’s hospitals over the weekend. “January is going to be a tough month,” said Russo. “We are still about four months away from the vaccine being able to bail us out. We can’t put up the white flag” and stop following social-distancing protocols that stop the spread of the disease.
