The universe's birth explained by "cosmic inflation"

A story in The Atlantic about a yet to be peer-reviewed study out of Harvard University on “cosmic inflation,” the leading hypothesis about the universe’s birth, quotes Will Kinney, professor of physics (who was not involved in the research). “The analysis seems correct to me,” said Kinney, who called the paper, “a very elegant idea.”
