An Associated Press article about the two killers who escaped from the Clinton Correctional Facility in northern New York State interviews Charles Ewing, UB professor of law who specializes in forensic psychology and violent behavior, about the reasons that other inmates won’t talk about noises they may have heard as the two used power tools to make their escape. “There’s is certainly a group of people in every prison or every jail who are just waiting to be snitches,” he said. “But it needs to be done very discretely.” The article appeared in news outlets around the country, including The Washington Post, Denver Post, Albany Times-Union, Kansas City Star, Philadelphia Inquirer, Houston Chronicle, Fox News, Salon, ABC News, England’s Daily Mail and Yahoo News.
