    The University at Buffalo School of Nursing will unveil its new home and innovative academic approach with a grand opening and tour of renovated clinical facilities and research space -- including exclusive, live interviews with its talking "patient" mannequins -- at 4:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, March 16) in Wende Hall on the university's South Campus.

    Mammograms, pap smears and early detection tests for prostate cancer, colorectal cancer and other malignancies are critical for catching cancer before it becomes deadly. However, a new study by University at Buffalo researchers shows that persons of different ethnic groups have different ideas and opinions about whether they are at risk for developing cancer -- perceptions that can influence whether they undergo screening.

    The University at Buffalo Department of Theatre and Dance will present Thornton Wilder's classic Pulitzer Prize-winning play "Our Town" April 14-18 in the Drama Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts, North Campus. Performance times are Wednesday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
