Access and equity in higher education; race, ethnicity, im/migration and Latinx collegians' educational experiences; undocumented and DACA students in higher education
Stephen Santa-Ramirez is an expert on the issues that impact the lives of historically marginalized and economically neglected students.
His research focuses on campus racial climates; first-generation students’ sense of belonging; and the ways that race, ethnicity and im/migration inform Latinx collegians experiences in higher education. He can also discuss the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in the context of higher education, in addition to the challenges undocumented students face and the assets they arrive with to college.
