Stephanie A. Poindexter is a biological anthropologist who specializes in primatology.

Poindexter’s research interests relate to how primates navigate and utilize their habitats. She uses field, lab and computational methods to understand how primates engage with their environment, members of their species and other organisms, and how adaptive behaviors and traits evolved. Poindexter has researched wild and captive primates, including slow lorises, in places including Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the U.K. and the U.S.

Poindexter can speak to the media about primate evolution, behavior and conservation.
