
This program focuses on the fundamentals of green energy and illustrates how solar, wind and other clean sources can be efficiently integrated into power systems. Students will be trained in power engineering topics such as power electronic converters, machines, control coupled with modules related to renewable energy sources. The job market for green energy jobs continues to grow at a pace 12 times as fast as the U.S. economy, leaving employers looking to hire appropriately trained workers. Potential careers in this rapidly evolving area encompass industry sectors ranging from solar, wind and smart grid technologies.
