Title IX

Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any educational program or activity that receives federal financial assistance.  Everyone has a right to equal access under Title IX, regardless of sex, gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Reporting Discrimination

If you believe you have been discriminated against or harassed based upon sex, you have the option of reporting this to EDI.  If you would like an investigation of your report, EDI will conduct the investigation through the procedure outlined in UB's Discrimination and Harassment policy.

Did You Know?

Title IX is commonly associated with equity in athletic facilities and opportunities.  While Title IX covers these areas, it also protects both men and women against gender-based discrimination in any school program or activity.  It also requires schools to take appropriate action in cases of sexual harassment and sexual assault.
