(she/her/hers)
Hometown: Buffalo, NY
Academics: Third year, Public Health major
Advice: For students exploring majors, don’t be afraid to network and get to know your professors better. UB is a big school with so many programs, so talking to people is a great way to explore UB's many opportunities!
Fun Fact: My last name is Augustine and I was born in August.
(she/her/hers)
Hometown: Saratoga Springs, NY
Academics: Third year, Environmental Sustainability major and Communication minor
Advice: I started out as exploratory, having so many different ideas as to what I wanted my college experience to look like and no idea where to start. EPAC helped me learn about all the majors offered at UB and taught me about some like Environmental Sustainability (EVS) that I had no idea were even possibilities. I hope that I can help in guiding your future at UB the same way EPAC helped me.
Fun Fact: I thought I would never find a major that I loved, until last summer when I went on my first ever solo trip camping out west. After this trip, I realized my true passion and decided to try out environmental studies.
(she/her/hers)
Hometown: Mount Vernon, NY
Academics: Third year, Chemistry major and Psychology minor
Advice: I think the biggest misconception about choosing a major is that it will pigeonhole you into one specific career but you're not locked into one path based on a major. You have your whole life to figure out your purpose. College is meant for exploration—finding yourself, trying new things, and discovering both your passions and your dislikes. One of the greatest perks of being at a large school is that there are countless opportunities to branch out. So, try new things, don’t shy away from challenges, and embrace the struggle—because that’s truly when growth happens.
Fun Fact: I’m a chemistry major who dreams of one day opening my own clinical psychology practice—and writing romance novels on the side!
(she/her/hers)
Hometown: Bronx, NY
Academics: Second year, Psychology major
Advice: Don't be afraid to explore! It's unrealistic to have everything figured out by the age of 18 or even 25. No one's path is exactly linear and sometimes it takes unique experiences and even some fails to figure out what you want to do. Don't allow yourself too much stress and know that the resources are here for you to explore different options!
Fun Fact: I played the trombone for four years.
(she/her/hers)
Hometown: Buffalo, NY
Academics: Second year, Public Health (Pre-OT) major
Advice: When you first arrive at college, it’s easy to think you’ve got life all figured out and your plan is set in stone, but college and life have a way of throwing curveballs. That brilliant plan might shift, and that’s okay. Sometimes change leads to something even better, so don’t be afraid to explore. UB offers a wealth of opportunities, and the more you engage, the more you’ll discover about yourself and your path. Your plan might evolve, and that’s not failure - it’s growth. Remember that life is not perfect and it is okay if your brilliant plan changes!
Fun Fact: I was born in Puerto Rico!
(he/him/his)
Hometown: Commack, NY
Academics: Third year, Business Administration (Financial Analysis concentration) major
Advice: Don't stress about being undecided. College is the best place to discover what you do and don’t enjoy. Take chances, explore different subjects, and use this time to figure out who you are and what truly interests you.
Fun Fact: I spent last summer working at Hershey Park as a ride operator as a part of their leadership development internship.
