The Major and Career Exploration Living Learning Community (LLC), located in Wilkeson Quad (Ellicott Complex) on North Campus, is designed for first-year students who are still exploring their major options. This community offers a welcoming and supportive environment for students assigned to the Exploratory and Pre-Professional Advising Center (EPAC). Through interactive programs, academic advising and support from the Career Design Center, students in our LLC explore how their interests and strengths can connect to a wide range of majors and career opportunities.

Students who participate in our Living Learning Community:

  • Enjoy the opportunity to meet and interact with other exploratory students outside of the classroom.
  • Experience a smoother transition to UB.
  • Gain a strong sense of community and belonging among other exploratory students.
  • Increase engagement in academic and co-curricular opportunities to help explore how interests relate to majors and careers.

Our events are held in the 5th Floor Wilkeson Kitchen and all students are invited. Students are not required to pre-register or RSVP ahead of time.

Major Check-In & Spring Prep

Join us for a chat with EPAC advisors and Career Design Center staff! Whether you’re feeling totally lost or just need a little nudge, we’re here to help you talk through your classes and major interests and celebrate your exploration wins. Plus, get tips on prepping for spring registration—and enjoy some snacks while you’re at it!

Your Next Chapter: Spring Edition

Wednesday, Nov. 12 | 7:00 p.m.
 
This is a relaxed but info-packed session where you’ll finalize your spring schedule, check-in with your major interests and discover ways to get involved beyond the classroom. November 12 is also the last day to resign a fall class, so if you’ve got questions about that - we’ve got answers!
