The Exploratory and Pre-Professional Advising Center (EPAC) advises undergraduate students who are exploring or transitioning majors, as well as students pursuing careers in health care or in law.
The mission of the Exploratory and Pre-Professional Advising Center is to assist University at Buffalo undergraduate students of all backgrounds in the discovery and development of their academic goals through advising. The advisors and staff of the Center interact with students in a variety of settings, providing support and guidance to empower students to use the tools and resources available to become active and responsible learners. Our services are targeted toward students in transition and students interested in the pre-professional fields (prehealth and pre-law). We work with students to develop and implement individual plans for the purpose of attaining academic success and achieving life goals.
The services offered by the Exploratory and Pre-Professional Advising Center are conducted with an appreciation for and awareness of the differences that students bring to the university. We recognize that students may encounter unique challenges in higher education because of race, gender, age, social class, sexual orientation and ability. Center staff are committed to removing barriers that can prevent our students from completing their baccalaureate degree in a timely and efficient manner.
